I don&#039;t know how many times I get frustrated with people who berate me for eating french bread (which I think has way more taste than sandwich bread) saying whole wheat bread is so much better for me. I always think first off, I only occasionally eat white. Second, the french bread I make at home with only unbleached, unbromated bread flour, yeast, water and salt at least doesn&#039;t have all the additives in a store-bought package of whole wheat. I see any combination of fat/oils and multiple sweeteners like brown sugar, sugar, molasses, high fructose corn syrup plus other preservatives in those loafs. (Of course the best thing is when some people don&#039;t realize they are eating wheat bread that isn&#039;t actually &quot;whole wheat&quot;.) I admit I&#039;ll eat it in sandwiches, but you won&#039;t hear me praising them as being extra healthy. If I want healthy whole wheat bread I make my own and those usually still have a little raw sugar/honey added or a 3:1 whole wheat:bread flour ratio. *end rant*</description>
